Suffragette

Emily Davison was a suffragette who campaigned for women's rights in the early 20th century. After she was arrested, she went on hunger strike, in which she resisted force-feeding. She is probably best known for throwing herself under the King's horse at the Derby in June 1913, becoming a martyr for her cause.
